Christian Time

No this is not a 'christian' post in the typical sense but describes my Sunday morning when I decided to go for a run at 6.45ish with the trusted Lowepro camera backpack and my Digital SLR and it was conditions that Christian Fletcher would have been pumped up for. It was a very special morning as there was no one of the streets and there was an eery sense of quiet.

The Price family picked us up after we had our final breakfast at the Elizabeth. It was an old school building but the free breakfasts, the location and the key to the private gardens across the road from the hotel.

British Lions are pussies

Saturday again saw us out and about visiting the main sites of London with Cassie the tour guide. We started at Buckingham Palace and then onto, Wesminster Abbey, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, across the bridge to the Eye, back along past Downing Street, up to Trafalgar Square, Picadilly Circus, Covenant Gardens, Regent St and Hamleys. So as you might expect we were completely stuffed.

A key highlight for Lachlan was squirrel chasing through St James Park, though I don't think the Great Dane that was off the lead was playing by the same rules as we were, which meant a few minutes of hard questions.

European Adventures

We commenced our European adventure last Thursday with a long haul flight via Singapore. As you would expect with a 3.5 year old and a 15 month old we had a few little dramas but there was some sleep and we arrived in London at 5am with all our bags and our sanity.

We spent the day doing some sight seeing and trying to stay awake to keep the jet lag at bay. The visit to Harrods toy section was a bit of highlight and a run through Hyde Park was cold but a nice contrast to the confines of British Airways hospitality (they are the worst airline I have flown with by a long way).
