Finally managed to track down the brick layer and took a photo of him in action.

We had a great birthday party for Anthony a weekend before last. We were up at the farm, so Lachlan and all his scaley little mates had a great time getting dirty and driving around. I will write more about this and show a few photos later this week.

We had a absolutely majestic day in Perth yesterday with 27C and Cassie and I had a walk during lunch time and argued whether living on Sunshine Coast would be as good as Perth.

We are still not sure of the answer, but I think the block is becoming a house.

All of the exterior walls are up to about chest height and they have most of the window and door frames in so it is pretty exciting to see the different views we have.

Lachlan and Anthony are pretty excited by the views out the back window with all the dirt!

Hooray!!

The bricklayers arrived yesterday and have started work. I will wander down with camera over the next couple of days with an update, but yesterday looked as if they set up some string lines and Dizzy (see right) was whirring away.

We are now in the process of deciding when the 'block' will become our 'house' and when it will finally transition into our 'home'.

Anyone know a brick layer?

For those that are interested we have had no progress on the block for some time as we wait for another brick layer to be ready.

I am sure that the long process of building is meant to ensure that you appreciate it a lot more when you finally do get it, but personally I think this is hogwash and I would love it more if it came sooner.

Anthony (our youngest son) turns 1 tomorrow and looking forward to helping him celebrate 12 months in our family. Lachlan is also looking forward to helping him open his presents.

This photo is a old truck on the farm called the Old Bedford. It operated at the 'factory' for over 20 years and was retired to the farm to rust and be haven for redbacks.
